Ethiopia beat Tanzania 2-1 yesterday to claim a triumphant end of preparations ahead of the Orange Africa cup of nations 2013 to kick off Saturday January 19 in South Africa.
US based, Fuad Ibrahim put the Walia Antelopes ahead just 13 into the encounter. It was 1-0 for Ethiopia after the first segment but Shaaban Nditi put both sides at the same level in the 51st. 18 minutes after, Shemelese Bikele’s header ended the ball at the bottom of the net making it 2-1 for the Antelopes till the final whistle. In their AFCON warm-up matches, Ethiopia beat Niger 1-0 and drew 1-1 with Tunisia before yesterday’s win over Tanzania.
For the South Africa rendezvous, they have been drawn in group C alongside Nigeria, Burkina Faso and defending champions, Zambia.
