The famous marathon race of Paris will begin in Champs-Elysées this Sunday. A race of 26 miles and Kenyans with Ethiopians will make the show.
As usual, the Marathon de Paris will begin in Champs-Elysées. This year, tha race will finish in Porte Dauphine. 26 miles, 385 yards (42, 195km) between the two places.
Kenyans and Ethiopians will make the show.
Kenya’s Benjamin Kiptoo, winner of the last edition in 2h 06 31, Albert Matebor, Eric Ndiema et Richard Limo will be there. Faced to them, including Ethiopia’s Eshetu Wendemu.
In female, Ethiopia’s Beyene Tirfi, third of 2010 Marathon de Paris, will be on the starting line like Kenya’s Julia Mumbi.

With more than 30,000 finishers in 2010 it was placed as the 5th largest marathon in the world. The run starts from the Champs Élysées Avenue to Foch Avenue running through Bastille, Nation, Vincennes, les Tuileries.

Apr 15, 2012. Biwott of Kenya wins 2012 Paris Marathon 2:05:11 with a CR! Possibly the 6th fastest time of 2012. Assefa (ETH) takes 2nd with PB! Jisa (WTH) 3rd 2:06:23. Tirfi Beyene (ETH) wins womens race in 2:22:05, also a course record.

Paris Marathon 2011 Results
Benjamin Kiptoo of Kenya wins Paris Marathon (2:06:31). Bernard Kipyego of Kenya is second. Pre-race favorite Eshetu Wendimu of Ethiopia is third. Priscah Jeptoo of Kenya wins the womens marathon in 02:22:52, a personal best time for her.

Paris Marathon 2010 Results
Baysa broke the women’s race record with the fastest time this year while Tola smashed his personal best by more than nine minutes to take the men’s title.
